It Takes a Village

It Takes a Village is a single mother’s support planning workbook fashioned after my own experience in building a small “village” with two other single mothers. Through storytelling, practical considerations and prompts, the workbook serves as a guide that helps those who read it build a support community that will work together to raise multiple children. The workbook also discusses the benefits of this type of support community and how it can equip mothers with tools for personal development and parenting success. It encourages forging connections and combating feelings of isolation that overwhelm many single mothers. Worksheets assist in planning the for the best community and ensure that each mother gets much needed help and in many cases, a second family. Ultimately, the “village” cultivates resilience, instilling a sense of empowerment and community among single mothers on their journey towards fulfillment and stability.
